|| Sanitation || Drinking water supply and sanitation coverage in Honduras has increased significantly in the last decades. However, the sector is still characterized by poor service quality and poor efficiency in many places. Coverage gaps still remain, particularly in rural areas. Overall, 77% of the country has access to improved sanitation whereas only 69% of people living in rural areas have access to improved sanitation. This could mean no toilet at all or less than adequate facilities and disposal of human waste which can lead to sickness. (World Bank & Wikipedia)
